Deltec protein skimmer 1000i suitable for a 500 to 1,000 liter aquarium

The Deltec Skimmer 1000i has a newly developed emergency overflow. This prevents the skimmer from “boiling over” when the water level in the skimmer suddenly rises. This can happen, for example, because the delivery pump stops and the water level in the sump rises.

The water level in the Deltec Skimmer 1000i can be read on the emergency overflow course. The minimum and maximum marks on the foamer make it easy to optimize the water level. Due to the possibility of exchanging the emergency overflow with the controller tube, the user has the possibility to decide how the pipes are arranged.

Pump

The Deltec Skimmer 1000i is equipped with the Deltec pump DCC2. This 24 V DC pump can be operated via a controller with 8 positions and can thus be optimally adjusted to the water level and the water load. At the optimum level 5 (for most aquariums) with only 13 watts, approximately 650 liters of air are drawn in.

The ergonomic cylinder shape

Thanks to the ergonomic cylindrical shape, the Deltec Skimmer 1000i achieves the best results when skimming. The shape of the skimmer does not rise. This allows the small air bubbles to rise without hindrance, they are completely saturated and they only burst in the riser of the skimmer cup. From there, the skimming waste can be discharged via a drain hose without having to lower the foam bowl.

Hollow room bottom

An additional innovation of the Deltec Skimmer 1000i is the hollow chamber floor. This helps to dampen the sound even more, so that the already silent Deltec Skimmer 1000i is whisper-quiet. In addition, the water flows back through the hollow chamber floor. can flow into the aquarium.

Disassembly, dimensions and construction

The normal cleaning of the pump is very easy thanks to the quick dismantling possibility of the skimmer. Deltec Skimmer 1000i can be dismantled and assembled without tools. Tests have shown that the pump can be removed from the skimmer in less than 20 seconds. The dimensions of the Deltec Skimmer 1000i have been chosen so that the foamer can easily be placed in a sump. Due to the large volume of the cylindrical shape, a small base area is sufficient.
