Tropic Marin components add calcium, alkalinity, and sodium chloride free sea salt to maintain the crucial balance of elements in your aquarium's water. All three parts (A, B,& C) required by the balling method are included in the Original Balling Set, and are produced with pharmaceutical ingredients, allowing them to mix clear and not add any unwanted pollutants or by-products to your aquarium when dosed. The balanced mixtures allow for fast growth of coral skeletons while maintaining the major and minor trace elements to avoid the decrease in required elements like traditional two-part dosing regimens.

    Mixing Instructions:

Dissolve the appropriate amount of the salt separately, as indicated below, in individual containers containing RODI water. Once mixed and clear the solutions are then ready to use. The amount to dose is as simple as dosing equal quantities of the separate solutions daily or varying quantities of each separate solution to achieve the recommended levels in the aquarium. These separate solutions are very stable and can be stored indefinitely.

Salt needed for 5 Liters of solution:

    A - Calcium chloride dihydrate (part A): 380 g / 0.84 lb / 16 scoops

    B - Sodium carbonate/sodium bicarbonate (part B): 378 g / 0.83 lb / 21 scoops

    C - Sodium chloride free sea salt (part C): 120 g / 0.26 lb / 5 scoops

Salt needed for 1 Gallon of solution:

    A - Calcium chloride dihydrate (part A): 288 g / 12 scoops

    B - Sodium carbonate/sodium bicarbonate (part B): 286 g / 16 scoops

    C - Sodium chloride free sea salt (part C): 91 g / 4 scoops

    Dosing Instructions

    30 ml / 1 fl.oz of each solution raise the calcium concentration of 10 US-gal./35 l by 15 mg/l (ppm) calcium and 2.2 °dH. The maximum recommended dose is 60 ml / 2 fl.oz. of each solution per 10 US-gal./35 l per day.

    Concentration of solution:

    A - Calcium chloride dihydrate (part A): 20.000 mg/l (ppm) Ca

    B - Sodium carbonate/sodium bicarbonate (part B): 2800° dKH/l

    C - Sodium chloride free sea salt (part C): 3350 mg/l Mg; 980 mg/l K

    Recommended concentration in the aquarium:

    A - Calcium chloride dihydrate (part A): 400 – 450 mg/l (ppm) Ca

    B - Sodium carbonate/sodium bicarbonate (part B): 6 – 9° dKH

    C - Sodium chloride free sea salt (part C): 1250 – 1400 mg/l Mg; 375 – 400 mg/l K
