Mechanical filter media
Mechanical filter media retain suspended solids and dirt particles. This occurs in different stages:
At the beginning, before the water undergoes the further cleaning process, the pre-filter materials EHEIM MECH and EHEIM MECHpro prove their worth.
EHEIM FIX is suitable as a separating layer between mechanical and biological filter media.
For final fine filtration before the water returns to the aquarium, EHEIM SYNTH filter wool is ideal.
EHEIM SYNTH
filter wool for final fine filtration – for example, in case of cloudy water.
This fine-fibered filter wool mechanically cleans the water one last time before it enters the aquarium. EHEIM SYNTH removes even the finest particles from the water, which are often responsible for cloudiness in aquariums. EHEIM SYNTH is used as the final filter layer in a thin layer of no more than 10 mm. Always use a new layer of EHEIM SYNTH after medication treatment.
