  • Bulk Reef Supply - Insta-set Super Glue Accelerator - Reefamorous

Bulk Reef Supply Insta-set Super Glue Accelerator

    In Stock

Insta-set accelerator will help speed up the set time of any cyanoacrylate super glue. The most frustrating thing about fragging coral is the time you need to wait for the glue to set, or the frag may simply just fall over and get glue all over. With the accelerator that time spent waiting will be significantly reduced leaving more time for gluing more frags and enjoying your tank. Insta-set is not like other accelerators that smell horrible and have a very strong chemical smell. Bob Smith has put a strawberry scent in their accelerator to make use enjoyable.   Insta-set is very easy and safe to use, simply just glue your frag to your plug or tile like you normally would, and then spray a very small amount of Insta-set on the glue, and place in tank water immediately after applying the accelerator due to the heat that will be generated.   Special Notes: Keep out of reach of children When using a super glue accelerator it is important to manage the heat that can be produced. With live rock it is not as important to monitor the heat that will be generated from the reaction that will occur, however with coral it is imperative to place the frag in water immediately after applying the Insta-set. Just as long as the heat is monitored Insta-set is very safe to use for many different purposes in the reef tank and around the house.

  • Bulk Reef Supply - Double Junction Lab Grade ORP Probe - Reefamorous Bulk Reef Supply - Double Junction Lab Grade ORP Probe - Reefamorous

Bulk Reef Supply Double Junction Lab Grade ORP Probe

    Sold Out

High quality, American-made ORP probe to meet your saltwater aquarium needs. Made in the US under strict quality control High-grade platinum rod Double junction designed specifically for contact with proteins or heavy metals Longer lifespan than single junction BNC connector with superior insulators Cable has low noise design with conductive copper layer between braid and center conductor Less frequent and quicker calibration 10 Ft Cord   BRS Lab Grade ORP Probe Features: Double Junction Probe: A double junction probe has a second seal and junction found at the center of the probe. The double junction design adds to the cost and complexity of the probe but they are recommended in instances where the probe will come in contact with proteins or heavy metals. When these elements come in contact with the silver within the probe gel they can precipitate on the porous junction and clog it which can cause drift and shorten the life of probe.   The double junction design used in this probe has a second junction in the center of the probe which creates two chambers within the probe. The first one is filled with the reference gel containing mostly potassium chloride, silver chloride and reference probe. The second chamber has just reference gel containing mostly potassium chloride. This design prevents precipitation by keeping the silver away from the second porous junction at the bottom of the probe which is exposed to the aquarium water.   The BRS Lab Grade probe uses pelon strips as a junction material which is a true electrochemical insulator which allows a complete circuit between the reference probe and the tank but allows a very minimal transfer of elements found within the probe or tank. The pelon strip is also much easier to re-wet than the ceramic junctions in the case of accidental drying out of the probe.   The BNC connector is also made to higher quality specifications with superior insulators between the shell and center pin to reduce noise and increase accuracy. The outer shell on the BRS Lab Grade Probe is made using Ultem rather than less expensive polycarbonate which is what most probes use because it is the most inexpensive material available. The Ultem shell is a highly resistant material and inert to a wide range of materials making this one of the more chemically compatible options available for probes like this.   What's Included? 1x BRS Double Junction ORP Probe

  • Bulk Reef Supply - Premium Brine Shrimp Eggs - Reefamorous Bulk Reef Supply - Premium Brine Shrimp Eggs - Reefamorous

Bulk Reef Supply Premium Brine Shrimp Eggs

    In Stock

90% Hatch-Out Rate Bulk Reef Supply's Premium Brine Shrimp Eggs (Artemia franciscana) will produce a minimum of 245 thousand baby brine shrimp (nauplii) per gram of cysts making it one of the highest yielding brine shrimp eggs available. Hatching brine shrimp eggs is super simple with a hatchery which you can buy or DIY. Live baby brine shrimp make a great treat for any fish, but can be extremely useful with finicky fish like dragonettes, angels, and wrasses. In order to ensure the highest nutritional value, artemia nauplii should be harvested and used within the first few hours of hatching. They are not capable of eating traditional foods initially, and will use up their egg yolks quickly during their first several hours, so they are most nutritious upon first hatching. Storage: It is highly recommended to store the eggs in a cool, dry place that maintains a temperature under 50°F to maintain hatching rates. We recommend dividing the eggs into what you will use in a 1-month period and store them in the refrigerator in a container with a tight-fitting lid, and then any remaining to be stored in the freezer in a similar container.  We suggest using the Brine Shrimp Direct Hatchery Disk for hatching and harvesting. The BSD Hatchery Disk does not need any aeration, heat, or tubing, and the unique design allows for natural separation of the eggs and brine shrimp making harvesting the shrimp quick, clean, and easy.

  • Bulk Reef Supply - Color Changing CO2 Absorbent Media 500 gam - Reefamorous

Bulk Reef Supply Color Changing CO2 Absorbent Media 500 gam

    Sold Out

Raise your Reef Tank's pH by controlling Carbon Dioxide! Bulk Reef Supply Color Changing CO2 Absorbent Media (Soda Lime) is the perfect solution if your aquarium has a low pH but proper alkalinity levels. It is most commonly used by connecting a carbon dioxide scrubber to your protein skimmer's air intake and can produce substantial lifts. We package the media in Mylar bags and then seal them to preserve the hydration of the media, leading to longer service life and the ability to absorb more CO2 than others on the market. We suggest purchasing single cartridge refills, but if you have higher carbon dioxide levels in your home or business the bulk packaged media is going to be more economical. White to purple color change indicates depletion. Minimal dust levels due to the high surface area and graded particle size. Reliable control of indicator dye concentration. Resistance to dry gas desiccation minimizes the risk of CO gas formation. Doesn't contain potassium hydroxide. Packaged in Mylar bags to preserve the hydration state.   BRS Carbon Dioxide Absorption Media is made of calcium hydroxide (Ca(OH)2), water, and a small amount of sodium hydroxide (NaOH) in a precise mixture that will efficiently remove CO2 from the air in a semi-closed system. The addition of ethyl violet dye is added to the particles as a color indicator to show when the media is nearing exhaustion, making maintenance as easy as looking at the canister containing the media periodically. The irregular shaped granules add to the available surface area, allowing more air to media contact time, while the granules also fill any voids and help minimize channeling through the cartridge and may not last as long as spherical media, but is much more effective.    Instructions for use 1) Fill your reactors refillable cartridge with BRS CO2 Absorbent Media 2) Add one teaspoon of water to the bottom of the filter canister housing (not the cartridge). Do not get the soda lime wet. 3) Connect the output of the reactor to the intake of your skimmer. 4) Keep an eye on your aquariums pH and the color of the media and replace the media after it has turned purple or the pH is starting to drop*.   *It is essential to replace the media after it has exhausted. If exhausted and left to stand CO2 absorbent media will revert back to a white color, and may appear fresh but is actually not usable anymore. BRS CO2 absorbent media cannot be regenerated and should never be re-used.   How Long Does It Last? Since every aquarium and the environment around it is different, the amount of media used can vary greatly from one home to another. In most cases, BRS CO2 Absorbent Media will last up to two weeks per single 10" cartridge, but depending on the amount of CO2 present in the air around your tank, the lifespan of the media will vary. Keeping the carbon dioxide levels in your home lower will help increase the lifespan of the media, which can be done by opening windows and using screen doors allowing fresh air inside your home. Another great option is live plants inside the house which will help minimize CO2 levels as well.

Why does BRS recommend this? Reef Chili has been tested by universities and has been proven to help accelerate coral growth at a very low cost. With fresh ingredients that don’t need to be frozen, and is a must-have for any tank with filter feeders. Reef Chili provides corals with all they need to be healthy and colorful in one food. Achieve faster growth. Contains all of the essential ingredients: Bio-engineered Zooplankton Spray Dried Phytoplankton Freeze Dried Rotifers Freeze Dried Copepods Dried Daphnia Spirulina Powder Artemia Nauplii replacement diet.   Instructions: Suggest using every other day and adjust to your tanks needs. 1: Use the included portion spoon and add one level spoonful per 20 gallons to a half cup of tank water.2: Shake the mixture vigorously for 30 seconds.3: Either pour the mixture directly into the tank or target feed each coral with a syringe. Each jar of BRS Reef Chili includes directions and a measuring spoon. Reef Chili was originally created as a frozen fish/coral food and it worked out great, except for one thing, cost! Shipping frozen products overnight around the country is simply too expensive. Bulk Reef Supply co-founder Ryan made this product because he was tired of trying to feed his tank a dozen different things to keep all the corals and fish healthy and colorful. He also wanted to achieve faster growth rates from some of his slow growing frags and see his otherwise nocturnal corals come "alive" during the day with the lights on. All these products were frozen, expensive to ship and none of them are sold by the same vendor. He soon realized that none of this was necessary! He could make a 100% nutritionally complete food that didn't need to be frozen. Better yet, it can be done for just a few dollars a month.   All the key ingredients are included in BRS Reef Chili: Bio-engineered Zooplankton Spray Dried Phytoplankton Freeze Dried Rotifers Freeze Dried Copepods Dried Daphnia Spirulina Powder Artemia Nauplii Replacement Diet   With this much variety, you can feel safe knowing that you have done your best to meet the nutritional needs of every filter feeder in your tank. There is absolutely no need to use any other products.

  • Bulk Reef Supply - General Bonding Super Glue 1oz Bottle - Reefamorous

Bulk Reef Supply General Bonding Super Glue 1oz Bottle

    In Stock

BRS General Bonding Super Glue has a water-like consistency. If you need thicker super glue for your project, we have BRS Extra Thick Super Glue Gel available. The BRS General Bonding Glue has been selected to provide the perfect consistency for aquascaping projects where a thinner glue is needed to get into small gaps between rocks and bond them together. BRS General Bonding Glue is reef safe and ideal for aquascaping with dry live rock. Lower viscosity super glues work better in these cases because they will quickly move to fill in tight gaps between bonding surfaces better than thicker superglues and will provide a fast and secure bond with lower cure times. This allows them to work well for placement between smaller rock pieces when creating a larger structure. This glue can also be used in conjunction with a small amount of mortar or epoxy where there is a need to fill a slightly larger gap between rocks. Thinner glues like this work well for close surface to surface bonds and can also work well for attaching some coral types such as zoanthid mats.   Note: Dispensing tips may clog after use, but can be cleaned with acetone to remove excess glue.
