It can be dosed by hand, but it is recommended to be used using a dosing pump. Especially for SPS dominant reef aquariums. Preferable with a dosing pump that can be calibrated with 4 heads. If your doser has only 3 heads, you can combine one part of BASE-KH1 with one part of BASE-KH2 in one canister or container. In this case, you will have to multiply the combined BASE KH1 and KH2 dosage by 2. Please consider these tips to improve the pump performance for accurate dosing and a stable reef aquarium: The tubing from the canisters to the dosing pump heads should have the same length, and also from the pumps to your aquarium should have the same length. This will make the pumps have the same conditions, and calibration will be more constant between them. Calibrate your dosing pump following the recommendation of the manufacturer. Don’t forget to check the calibration every 6 months and recalibrate if needed. Set the doser to dose equal parts and give at least 10 minutes between each dosing pump. Ideally, start with KH1, then CAL, then KH2, then MAG, with a 10-15 minutes gap. Spread the daily dosage as many times as your dosing pump allows it per day. Dosage:Simply dose equal parts from each to keep KH between 6.8-8dKH, and all the rest will be proportionally kept. For the first 2 weeks, try to find the ideal KH level for your reef aquarium light spectrum based on calcium consumption. In other words, please dose equal parts to keep calcium stable between 380-420ppm and then test your KH to find your Ideal KH level keeping it between 6.8-8dKH. This way, our Modern Reef All-in-one RKS will adapt to your aquarium setup consumption and not the other way around. Example 1: If you are dosing equal parts from each to keep KH at 7.5 and your calcium is going down, raise your dosage to increase and keep KH at 7.7 and check calcium again. Repeat if needed. Once you find the ideal KH level for your tank, you don’t need to test calcium often. Example 2: If you are dosing equal parts from each to keep KH at 8 and your calcium is going up, lower your dosage to decrease and keep KH at 7.8 and check calcium again. Repeat if needed. Once you find the ideal KH level for your tank, you don’t need to test calcium often. Our Modern Reef All-in-one RKS doesn’t need to be shaken or any type of magnetic stirrer. Precaution:You don’t need to use any product like amino acids, mixed trace elements or any other tagged for coral coloration, polyp extensions, or growth. All are included by proportional consumption except solid food. Avoid them when using this product. Please keep this product in the dark or shadow place. Never under direct sun or any other type of light. Preferable to be used in the original canisters that they come with. If you have transparent containers, make sure that there is no light source near them. Direct strong light can make some elements unstable, and because this product contains a sort of “life source”, some microorganisms may start multiplying in the transparent containers if direct light is present. The original canisters should protect the liquid enough from any light, but it is better to avoid direct sun or aquarium light. This product doesn’t need to be refrigerated, but if you need to store it, do it in a cool place.

Tropic Marin Pro-Coral Mineral 250 Grams

    1 in stock In Stock

Product description In a marine aquarium with a high stocking of invertebrates, especially reef-building stony corals, the trace elements present in the water are quickly used up. At the same time, the concentrations of the macroelements sodium, chlorine, potassium and sulphate remain largely constant. The lack of trace elements and the imbalance in the natural ion concentrations lead to growth disorders and stunting of the organisms.   Pro-Coral Mineral provides the trace elements present in the well-known Tropic Marin® sea salt in crystalline, highly concentrated form, thus creating ideal living conditions for all invertebrates beyond the normal water changes. Benefits Contains all trace elements of the sea in highly concentrated form To strengthen the growth, colour intensity and resistance of invertebrates Particularly suitable for marine aquariums with a high invertebrate population With iodine and strontium Without chelates, phosphates and nitrates Ingredients Trace elements, magnesium salts, iodide Application & Dosage Dosage: Add 1 level measuring spoon (5 ml) per 100 litres of aquarium water per week. Among other things, this increases the strontium content by about 0.8 mg per litre and the iodine content by about 0.04 mg per litre. One can with 250 g is sufficient for approx. 5,000 l aquarium water.   Maximum dosage: 2 measuring spoons per 100 litres weekly. This dosage should not be exceeded under any circumstances.   Application: Tropic Marin® Pro-Coral Mineral can be added carefully in the filter area of the aquarium at a sufficient distance from the pump. Alternatively, dissolve one measuring spoon in 250 ml of reverse osmosis water and add to the tank.

    Tropic Marin Iod Iodine

Of all the trace elements found in natural sea water, iodine is associated with the widest range of effects. Iodine prevents goitre as an important component of the thyroid hormone. It also is essential for the hardening of the chitinous shell of crustaceans. Coallinaceous red algae deposit iodine in surface structures and gorgoniias deposit it in the axial skeleton. Experiments clearly show that Tropic Marin Pro-Coral Iodine improves the adaptation to light and the colouring of anthozoa, especially of hard corals. Due to its unstable nature in solution, iodine should be added to marine aquarium on a regular basis. Tropic Marin Pro-Coral Iodine contains iodine in its most effective form, as elementary I². Tropic Marin Pro-Coral Iod Lugol´s solution for saltwater aquaria essential trace element for sea dweller improves the adaptation to light and the coloring of anthozoa, especially of hard corals Recommended dosage of Tropic Marin Pro-Coral Iod:Add one drop of Tropic Marin Pro-Coral Iodine per 200 l of water in the circulation flow of the system daily. If a dosage day is missed, skip that dose. Do not make up lost days by adding doses together. Iodine demand increases with aquarium population density. In heavily populated aquaria dosage may be increased up to the maxiumum dosage of 1 drop per 100 l water per day.

Potassium is an essential macronutrient for all living organisms and occurs in natural seawater at a concentration of 408 mg/l. Adjusting the potassium concentration to the natural level with Tropic Marin® Potassium in case of a potassium deficiency can sometimes give a vitality boost to various corals. Before using Tropic Marin® Potassium, carefully determine the potassium concentration with a water test (e.g. Tropic Marin® K+ Test Pro). Advantages: Provides potassium in the aquarium Essential macronutrient for plants and corals Improves coral coloration and vitality Tropic Marin® Potassium contains 100 mg/ml potassium. A dosage of 10 ml Tropic Marin® Potassium per 100 litres of water increases the potassium concentration in the water by 10 mg/l. A daily dosage of 20 ml potassium per 100 litres of water should not be exceeded. Individual coral species can react to low potassium concentrations in aquarium water with stunted growth and weak coloration. Potassium is present in seawater in a concentration of approximately 408 mg/l. The potassium concentration should never be increased above the natural concentration – too high potassium concentrations are dangerous for sensitive animals. Therefore, before using Tropic Marin® Potassium, carefully determine the potassium concentration with our Tropic Marin® K+ Test Professional.

Tropic Marin® Bio Strontium provides strontium and carbon dioxide for zooxanthellae in a biologically ideal, crystalline form and thus supports the healthy growth of corals. Does not contain chelates, phosphates or nitrates For the growth and well-being of reef-building corals, a sufficient supply of strontium is similarly important as the availability of calcium and magnesium. Although strontium is present in seawater in considerably smaller quantities, biological processes, precipitation and incorporation into the calcium skeleton can still lead to a strontium deficiency. Add Tropic Marin® Bio-Strontium directly on the surface of the aquarium or sump water, while stirring. Take care that no undissolved crystals come into contact with the creatures. One level measuring spoon (5 ml/0.17 fl.oz.) increases the strontium level of 100 l (26 US-gal.) by about 5 mg/l (ppm). The natural concentration ofseawater is 8 mg/l (ppm). Basic dosage: 1 level measuring spoon per 50 US-gal./190 l every two weeks is recommended. In an aquarium with a high population, the dosage can be doubled. Attention: High strontium concentrations in the aquarium may damage corals. Ensure to monitor the strontium concentration.

    Tropic Marin A- Elements 1000ml

    In Stock

Essential Anionic Trace Element Supplement for Reef Aquariums Dose with Pro-Coral K- Trace 1 For the best results! In the ocean, there are tiny amounts of essential trace elements such as iodine, lithium, manganese, etc. that can be depleted rapidly in household aquariums as corals and invertebrates grow. Tropic Marin Pro-Coral A- and Pro-Coral K+ are formulated to replenish those elements in an easy to dose balanced, liquid additive. When trace element levels start to get low corals can lose their color and stop growing completely. Doser Ready Easy to use No mixing required to use Contains required anionic trace elements Supports natural coral color and growth Instructions: For a complete trace elements supply, we recommend the use of both trace element solutions, Pro-Coral A- and Pro-Coral K+. Add 1 ml trace elements of each solution per 100 l / 25 US-Gal. of aquarium system water volume daily. The trace elements solution must not get directly onto the animals. The demand for trace elements increases with increased aquarium population density. In heavily populated aquariums, dosage may be increased up to the maximum dosage below. Maximum dosage: Do not exceed a dosage of 2 ml per 100 l / 25 gallons of aquarium system water volume per day. Pro-Coral A- Trace 2 Contains: Bromine Fluorine Iodine Lithium Molybdenum Selenium Vanadium

  • Tropic Marin - Tropic Marin All-For-Reef Powder 800g - Reefamorous

    Tropic Marin All-For-Reef Powder 800g

    In Stock

Tropic Marin All-For-Reef revolutionized aquarium additive dosing with their original pre-mixed solution, and now this same formula is available in an ultra-concentrated crystalline form that you can easily mix at home, making it more economical for systems of all sizes. All-For-Reef powder contains all key elements, including calcium, alkalinity, and trace elements. It mixes easily with RO/DI water to make a single, complete additive solution. It's no longer necessary to maintain two, three, or four solutions, or a complicated reactor. All-For-Reef is a balanced source of calcium and carbonate hardness, released through natural biological processes, along with a mix of trace elements. No mixing, no gas cylinders, no fuss.    Features Complete single solution Mixes to highly concentrated solution No byproducts (e.g. sodium chloride) No excess carbon dioxide Doesn't alter salinity or ionic balance   Two Sizes Available 800 gram jar (Makes 5 Liters of Solution) 1600 gram jar (Makes 10 Liters of Solution)   Specifications (per 1,000 mL of mixed solution) Carbonate Hardness Concentration: 6,000 dKH Calcium Concentration: 43,000 mg Ca Magnesium Concentration: 1,900 mg Mg Strontium Concentration: 780 mg Iodine Concentration: 34 mg   In addition to the calcium, alkalinity, and magnesium, All-For-Reef comes pre-mixed with the same elements used in their Trace A and Trace K A- ELEMENTS - contains anions of the trace elements bromine, fluorine, iodine, lithium, molybdenum, selenium and vanadium in pure mineral form K+ ELEMENTS - contains cations of the trace elements barium, chrome, cobalt, iron, copper, manganese, nickel, strontium and zinc in pure mineral form   Recipe & Directions (Per liter of All-For-Reef Solution) Step 1: Starting with a clean container with slightly over a 1 liter capacity, add approximately 900 mL RODI or distilled water. Room temp water is ok, but warm water will help dissolve the powder more quickly. Step 2: Slowly add 6 level measuring spoons (approximately 160g) of All-For-Reef Powder to the water, stirring constantly.  Step 3: Keep stirring. It can take some time for the solution to be clear.  Step 4: Once powder is fully dissolved, the solution is ready for dosing.   Dosing Instructions Start with a daily dose of 5 ml of All-For-Reef per 100 liters (26 US-gal) of aquarium system volume. Increase the daily dosage – by continuous control of the alkalinity – weekly by 2.5 ml per 100 liters (26 US-gal) of aquarium system volume, until a constant carbonate hardness of 7 to 9°dH is reached.   Suggested Maximum Dose: 25 ml of All-For-Reef per 26 gallons (100 liters) of aquarium system volume.
