Hotmelt connector for fixing corals
ORCA CONNECT is a hotmelt connector for fixing corals and aquarium decoration. ORCA CONNECT is very easy and clean to handle, chemically neutral and does not release any undesirable substances into the aquarium water.
Instructions for ORCA CONNECT:
Take care that the surface is clean and fat-free. Roughen up, if applicable. Pour the required amount of white plastic beads in a container with approx. 60 ° C hot water. The beads change from white to transparent and can be used as a modeling dough. After cooling down a few minutes the mass converts to white again and hardens completely.
Any unused material residues can be used by remelting fully again.

Underwater bonding putty with a natural coralline algae color
Two-part epoxy putty
Specifically designed for underwater applications
Suitable for freshwter and saltwater
Ideal for bonding rocks for aquascapes, preparing coral frags, or cementing clam bases
Also suitable for pipework, repairs, and bonding items to aquarium glass
Dries to the color of coralline algae*
*Please note: color is most true to natural coralline algae when cured underwater. Curing the epoxy outside of the water will result in a darker, deeper red color.
D-D Aquascape Epoxy is a two-part putty designed for use in both freshwater and saltwater systems. It's ideal for bonding live rocks to create or solidify aquarium aquascapes, prepping and positioning coral frags, creating clam bases, or even reparing aquarium equipment or pipework and bonding items to aquarium glass. This putty has been developed to be stickier than competitor epoxies so that it can bond easier to wet substrates, making aquarium repairs a breeze. D-D Aquascape Epoxy can be cured either underwater or outside of the water; however, the coralline red algae color will take on a more natural color when cured underwater.
Once fully cured, D-D Aquascape Epoxy can be machined, drilled, tapped, turned, filed, sawn, sandpapered and painted (if desired). It is heat resistant up to 130 degrees Celsius. Aquascape will bond to any of the following materials: wood, brick, cement, metals, concrete, rock, plastic, glass; making it an excellent general adhesive. Please note that it is not designed to be used as a thin layer bonding agent where a conventional glue is indicated. The epoxy will become semi-hard within 3-4 hours and fully cures hard as rock overnight. It is necessary to support heavy rocks, corals and overhangs until the putty sets.
During use, take care not to overmanipulate underwater. If the aquarium water starts to become cloudy, stop using immediately and allow the water to clear.

Extra Thick Coral Frag Super Glue!
Not all super glues are the same and Polyplab's Premium Coral Frag Glue is the perfect solution for larger frags and extended fragging sessions. The ultra-thick super glue gel has a bunch of uses, from regular fragging, aquascaping, or even placing entire colonies on rocks. The composition of the glue allows it to be workable for an extended period of time, allowing you to work with the coral for the perfect placement. If you need to work underwater, the tube design keeps water from being sucked back into the tube, keeping the glue within the tube from being compromised. Every tube comes with its own applicator stem, and initial use child protection ring.
8-hour working time
Perfect for long fragging sessions
Ultra-thick for large gaps and support
Tube design leads to less waste
Reacts and bonds in water within 5-15 seconds

Frag Plugs with a Dual Purpose
Extremely porous
Stimulates coral growth
Serves as bio-media
Completely inert-- wont affect water chemistry
Rapidly colonized by beneficial bacteria
Stable ceramic base that will not decompose over time
Maxspect's Nano-Tech Bio-Plugs are created using stabilized microbial sewage treatment technology with Biological Aerated Filter (W-BAF). This proprietary technology is formed into inert ceramic plugs which serve a dual function as both a coral frag base and a biological filtration media. Due to the extremely porous nature of each plug, water current is able to penetrate the Bio-Plug to reach the surface of the coral frag from all sides, allowing the coral to extract necessary nutrients from the water column with ease. Each plug also has an ultra-high surface area for colonization by beneficial bacteria strains that can work to lower nitrites, nitrates, and ammonia naturally. The bacterial colonies can also be captures by the coral frag polyps as an additional food source, increasing their growth rate.
BRS General Bonding Super Glue has a water-like consistency. If you need thicker super glue for your project, we have BRS Extra Thick Super Glue Gel available.
The BRS General Bonding Glue has been selected to provide the perfect consistency for aquascaping projects where a thinner glue is needed to get into small gaps between rocks and bond them together. BRS General Bonding Glue is reef safe and ideal for aquascaping with dry live rock. Lower viscosity super glues work better in these cases because they will quickly move to fill in tight gaps between bonding surfaces better than thicker superglues and will provide a fast and secure bond with lower cure times. This allows them to work well for placement between smaller rock pieces when creating a larger structure. This glue can also be used in conjunction with a small amount of mortar or epoxy where there is a need to fill a slightly larger gap between rocks. Thinner glues like this work well for close surface to surface bonds and can also work well for attaching some coral types such as zoanthid mats.
Note: Dispensing tips may clog after use, but can be cleaned with acetone to remove excess glue.
Insta-set accelerator will help speed up the set time of any cyanoacrylate super glue. The most frustrating thing about fragging coral is the time you need to wait for the glue to set, or the frag may simply just fall over and get glue all over. With the accelerator that time spent waiting will be significantly reduced leaving more time for gluing more frags and enjoying your tank. Insta-set is not like other accelerators that smell horrible and have a very strong chemical smell. Bob Smith has put a strawberry scent in their accelerator to make use enjoyable.
Insta-set is very easy and safe to use, simply just glue your frag to your plug or tile like you normally would, and then spray a very small amount of Insta-set on the glue, and place in tank water immediately after applying the accelerator due to the heat that will be generated.
Special Notes:
Keep out of reach of children
When using a super glue accelerator it is important to manage the heat that can be produced. With live rock it is not as important to monitor the heat that will be generated from the reaction that will occur, however with coral it is imperative to place the frag in water immediately after applying the Insta-set. Just as long as the heat is monitored Insta-set is very safe to use for many different purposes in the reef tank and around the house.
IC-Gel Insta Cure Cyanoacrylate is a widely used super glue within the hobby. With its quick dry time, and extra thick consistency you can use the IC-Gel on vertical surfaces and it will not run. It is great for heavier frags that you need to stand vertical or heavier rock work. IC-Gel comes in a tube like toothpaste which makes it very easy to dispense the amount needed, and when it comes down to the last few drops you can still get it out, unlike the harder plastic bottles.
Super glue (cyanoacrylate) is widely used for mounting coral frags to plugs, rocks, and what ever you may need to attach them to. Super glue can also be used to bond rock work when aquascaping for a seamless look. We find that if larger gaps are needed to be bridged when aquascaping either building up layers of glue, or placing a smaller rock that fits in the gap and then gluing over the top works really well. Usually when using super glue with aquascaping we will take a small amount of large grain sand to help give the glue some texture and blend it into the rock as well.
