The Ocellaris Clownfish may be one of the aquarium industry's most popular marine fish. Its beautiful orange body dressed with white bands outlined in black instantly distinguishes the Ocellaris Clownfish. The Ocellaris Misbar have broken bars or bars that do not connect around the entire body. The Extreme Misbars have very few bars and could be only on one side of the fish's body. The Ocellaris Clownfish has other unique advantages over wild-harvested species. For one, the Ocellaris Clownfish is very hardy and more accustomed to conditions found in home aquariums. Therefore, it makes a great choice for novices and seasoned aquarists alike. Ocellaris Clownfish can also be kept with a variety of other clownfish, if introduced into the aquarium at the same time. The Ocellaris Clownfish is also easy to breed in the home aquarium. The females will be the largest of the pair and the two fish will usually stay close to each other in the aquarium. The Ocellaris Clownfish is an egg layer and will deposit the eggs on a flat surface and defend the eggs from other tankmates. The eggs will normally hatch in 6-11 days depending on the water temperature. The fry must be reared in a separate aquarium on a diet of rotifers followed by baby brine shrimp. This Clownfish is an aggressive eater. It will accept most meaty foods and frozen herbivore preparations.

NP-Bacto-Balance is ideal for keeping nitrate and phosphate low while maintaining the important balance between these key nutrients. In many situations, some reef aquariums may develop an excess of nitrate or phosphate while being limited in the other. When this occurs, bacteria and other organisms can't properly metabolize the excess nutrients, and carbon dosing alone is not enough. In order to restore the proper ratio of carbon, nitrogen, and phosphorus in these aquariums, it may be necessary to provide additional elements along with the carbon source. NP-Bacto-Balance is a unique solution that can help to stabilize nitrates and phosphates at the lowest possible levels while avoiding a nutrient deficiency. With its balanced composition of carefully selected organic and inorganic nutrients, NP-Bacto-Balance acts to reduce nitrate and phosphate while improving coloration and growth of corals, sponges and other filter feeders. Key Benefits Efficient reduction of nitrate and phosphate Increased skimmer efficiency Maintains optimal ratio of carbon, nitrogen, and phosphorus Bacterial biomass acts as nutrient source for filter feeders Prevents situations of nutrient deficiency Improves the coloration and growth of corals and other inverts Suitable for aquariums of all ages Mature tanks can be significantly revived Dose manually or with a dosing pump Dosing Recommendations - Dosing depends on the age of the aquarium In the case of new and young tanks (0-1 years old*) no more than 0.25 ml per 100 l /25 US-Gal. tank content should be added per day. In tanks of a medium age (1-2 years old*) up to 0.5 ml per 100 l /25 US-Gal. can be dosed per day In mature tanks (>2 years old*) can receive from 0.5 to 1 ml for 100 l /25 US-Gal. aquarium water per day. For best results, add Tropic Marin NP-Bacto-Balance to a high water flow area in the tank at the beginning of the lighting cycle. Dosage may be adjusted every 2 weeks by .25 mL per 100 liters/25 US-Gal, after testing nitrate and phosphate Maximum Dose A dosage of 1 ml per 100 l /25 US-Gal. tank content per day should not be exceeded under any circumstances. If a clouding of the tank is observed after the elevation of the dosage of NP-BACTO-BALANCE, the dosage should be reduced to the previous level. Beside the organic and inorganic nutrients, NP-Bacto-Balance also contains the same trace elements of Tropic Marin K+ Elements in the same concentration. Up to a dosage of 0.75 mL NP-Bacto-Balance per 25 gallons per day a further supplement with 1 ml/25g K+ Elements can have a positive effect on the coloration of the corals. We recommend additionally the Tropic Marin® A- Elements for a complete trace elements dosage to add missing trace elements such as iodine, bromine, fluorine, vanadium, molybdenum and selenium. Note - Dosages are approximate guides. In individual cases, the measurement depends on the stability of the tank.

Liquid Carbon Dosing Concentrate for Nutrient Reduction in Reef Aquariums Efficient reduction of nitrate and phosphate Increased skimmer efficiency Bacterial biomass acts as nutrient source for filter feeders Suitable for marine fish, soft corals, LPS, SPS, and other inverts Easy-to-dose liquid solution For the general health and well-being of your reef inhabitants, it's beneficial to maintain nitrate and phosphate at very low concentrations. This encourages better coral calcification while also discouraging excess algae growth. Organisms such as bacteria will consume nitrate and phosphate in a balanced ratio along with organic carbon, but oftentimes the system can become carbon limited and prevent efficient export of the other two. Elimi-NP can help to restore this balance by supplying a controlled source of carbon to the aquarium. This allows nitrate and phosphate consuming bacteria to resume their normal activity and help to export wastes through removal of their biomass. Elimi-NP is ideally suited to saltwater aquariums where the ratio of nitrate to phosphate is 10:1 or lower, as this will work well with the carbon concentration Elimi-NP provides. For systems where the ratio of nitrate to phosphate is higher, we suggest the use of NP-Bacto-Balance instead, as this has additional additives to achieve a better balance between nitrate, phosphate, and carbon. Dosage Recommendations Begin with a daily dose of 0.1 ml per 100 l (26 US-gal) of aquarium system volume. Adjust the dosage after 2 weeks after testing the nitrate and phosphate concentrations and observing reactions of animals. Dosage can be increased by 0.1 ml per 100 l (26 US-gal) of aquarium system volume. Dose Elimi-NP into the flow of the pump to ensure proper distribution throughout the aquarium. Store the bottle tightly sealed! Maximum dose: A daily dose of 0.5 ml per 100 l (26 US-gal) of aquarium system volume should not be exceeded. The concentration of phosphate in the reef aquarium should only be lowered slowly to avoid possible adjustment stress in the organisms. At the same time, the nitrate-phosphate ratio should not exceed 10:1.

Tropic Marin PRO-REEF Sea Salt 25kg Features: The pharmaceutical grade sea salt especially for modern reef aquaria. Tropic Marin® PRO-REEF Sea Salt has been designed to meet the special requirements of reef aquariums with optimized concentrations of calcium and magnesium, which promote the growth of corals. The lower buffering and the correct pH value serve to stabilize the natural water values, and particularly, the hardness of carbonates, even with the use of calcium reactors. Natural and stable conditions for delicate marine life are achieved only by accurately balancing all influencing factors. Tropic Marin® PRO-REEF is thus the ideal foundation for the care and growth of fish, corals and other aquatic invertebrates in modern reef aquariums. Use seawater prepared with Tropic Marin® PRO-REEF for regular water changes in your seawater aquarium, to start a new aquarium and to re-equilibrate the pH of a tank. Benefits: • Optimizes calcium- and magnesium concentrations as well as alkalinity and pH. • Designed to meet the special requirements of modern reef aquaria with higher calcium requirements. • Especially designed for use with calcium reactors or mineral additives. • To maintain the alkalinity in a 7-8° dKH range. • Manufactured from pure, pharmaceutical grade salts. • Contains all major- and minor elements in the exact proportions found in tropical sea water. • The 70 trace elements are completely soluble due to the use of the mixed-crystal method. • Compliance with the most stringent quality control measures for the production of pharmaceuticals ensures nature-identical seawater. • Free from nitrates, phosphates and other unwanted chemicals. How to use: To achieve a salinity level of 32-35 ‰ (psu), dissolve 35 ml of Tropic Marin® PRO-REEF per liter or approximately ½ cup of Tropic Marin® PRO-REEF per US gallon water. Dissolve almost all of the salt in a clean container already filled with the full volume of RO/DI water at a temperature of 73-77°F / 23-25°C while circulating/stirring the water. Do not concentrate the mixture by adding the full amount of salt to a smaller amount of water. Note: Always add the salt to the water, never the water to the salt. Making a concentrated mixture will cause a calcium carbonate precipitate to form. When you have added ALMOST all of the salt and the mixture is fully dissolved and clear, start measuring the specific gravity with a hydrometer or similar instrument. Keep adding small amounts of salt until the specific gravity is the value you desire. The specific gravity of the sea salt solution should range from 1.025 to 1.027 (at 73-77°F / 23-25°C) and the pH-value should be in the range of 8.0 – 8.4. If all parameters are correct, the salt water is ready to use. After setting up a new aquarium it takes a few weeks of water being circulated and correct lighting conditions to achieve the biologically stable environment required for the care and breeding of delicate marine organisms. A weekly, partial water change, replacing 10 % of the total water volume with Tropic Marin® PRO-REEF, will help to maintain the water quality that your livestock needs for good health. Parameters: approx. 7° KH, calcium approx. 440 ppm, magnesium approx. 1350 ppm Application: For reef tanks with higher calcium requirements. To maintain the alkalinity in a 7-8° dKH range; particularly suitable when using a calcium reactor. Use the new dosing calculator for an easy determination of the required amount of salt for your aquarium.

VarioS-8 Controllable Water Pump The Reef Octopus VarioS Circulation pump features a detachable controller with mount, a high-quality ceramic shaft with propeller bearing to reduce wear and tear, and the latest variable speed flow technology for refined control, enhanced performance, energy efficiency, and safer operations. Unlike the vast majority of circulation pumps, which use alternating current (AC), the VarioS pump boasts several key advantages over traditional AC pumps, like greater energy efficiency and safer low-voltage operation, and produces less heat per volume of flow. >>> Now the aquarist can have full control of the water flow through their sump, reactors, filters, or closed-loop systems!!! Refined Control In addition to allowing the pump to run at 5 different speeds, which is pretty standard for a DC pump, the new VarioS Controller takes the pump to a new level, featuring: A float switch connection allows you to connect a float switch (included in the box) to the controller. This added security feature will enable you to shut off your water pump when your sump water has reached a high or low level. In all, you don’t need another module or controller to add a float switch to your system. Two different pause/feed modes will shut off the pump for either 15 or 60-minute intervals. These come in handy when you feed the tank or conduct regular maintenance, such as a water change.\nAnd the best feature of the VarioS controller is… a 0-10v input which will allow a 3rd party controller such as Coralvue HYDROS, Neptune System’s APEX, or Reef Angel to take over the pump and tell it what to do. In this mode, the new VarioS controller becomes an interface between the system controller and the pump, allowing you to create intricate programs using your system controller's native language. This is unprecedented controllability on a skimmer or water pump. In essence, you can use your system controller as your DC pump controller! Includes: VarioS pump, controller, float switch, power supply, output and input union for plumbing direct PVC, versatile stepped barb output fitting for flex tubing, and protective intake screen. The VarioS pump has a true slow startup where the pump slowly ramps up from zero RPM to the full preset speed over a period of approximately 10 seconds. The pump and controller are connected via a waterproof 3-conductor union. The detachable controller will allow for a simple, waterproof union. The volute can rotate to change the pump's output orientation in 90-degree intervals, meaning users can output water vertically (up or down) and horizontally. Ensure that your equipment is reading correctly and your aquarium is at the right salinity with Tropic Marin's High Precision Hydrometer. Many tank inhabitants are sensitive even to minor changes of the water conditions. Unfortunately as we've all experienced, salinity reading equipment as well as calibration solutions can drift over time and it can occasionally be a challenge to ensure equipment is always calibrated correctly. That's where the Tropic Marin Hydrometer comes in. The Tropic Marin High Precision Hydrometer provides an exact and reliable measurement of specific gravity, and it never needs to be re-calibrated, so it's a perfect reference device for calibrating other equipment. High precision hydrometer for determining the specific gravity in aquariums Maximum deviation: 0.001 at 77° F (25° C) Scale from 1.021 to 1.031 Resolution: 0.0001 Handmade The hydrometer is handmade and designed to float vertically in the water. The maximum deviation is about 0.001 at 77° F (25° C). Please note: The salt content of sea water is usually measured as specific gravity. Please check for the blue printing and the indication “Specific Gravity” at the Tropic Marin High Precision Hydrometer.

IC-Gel Insta Cure Cyanoacrylate is a widely used super glue within the hobby. With its quick dry time, and extra thick consistency you can use the IC-Gel on vertical surfaces and it will not run. It is great for heavier frags that you need to stand vertical or heavier rock work. IC-Gel comes in a tube like toothpaste which makes it very easy to dispense the amount needed, and when it comes down to the last few drops you can still get it out, unlike the harder plastic bottles. Super glue (cyanoacrylate) is widely used for mounting coral frags to plugs, rocks, and what ever you may need to attach them to. Super glue can also be used to bond rock work when aquascaping for a seamless look. We find that if larger gaps are needed to be bridged when aquascaping either building up layers of glue, or placing a smaller rock that fits in the gap and then gluing over the top works really well. Usually when using super glue with aquascaping we will take a small amount of large grain sand to help give the glue some texture and blend it into the rock as well.
