  • Tropic Marin - Tropic Marin NP-Bacto-Balance 1000 ml - Reefamorous

    Tropic Marin NP-Bacto-Balance 1000 ml

    In Stock

NP-Bacto-Balance is ideal for keeping nitrate and phosphate low while maintaining the important balance between these key nutrients. In many situations, some reef aquariums may develop an excess of nitrate or phosphate while being limited in the other. When this occurs, bacteria and other organisms can't properly metabolize the excess nutrients, and carbon dosing alone is not enough. In order to restore the proper ratio of carbon, nitrogen, and phosphorus in these aquariums, it may be necessary to provide additional elements along with the carbon source. NP-Bacto-Balance is a unique solution that can help to stabilize nitrates and phosphates at the lowest possible levels while avoiding a nutrient deficiency. With its balanced composition of carefully selected organic and inorganic nutrients, NP-Bacto-Balance acts to reduce nitrate and phosphate while improving coloration and growth of corals, sponges and other filter feeders. Key Benefits Efficient reduction of nitrate and phosphate Increased skimmer efficiency Maintains optimal ratio of carbon, nitrogen, and phosphorus Bacterial biomass acts as nutrient source for filter feeders Prevents situations of nutrient deficiency Improves the coloration and growth of corals and other inverts Suitable for aquariums of all ages Mature tanks can be significantly revived Dose manually or with a dosing pump Dosing Recommendations - Dosing depends on the age of the aquarium In the case of new and young tanks (0-1 years old*) no more than 0.25 ml per 100 l /25 US-Gal. tank content should be added per day. In tanks of a medium age (1-2 years old*) up to 0.5 ml per 100 l /25 US-Gal. can be dosed per day In mature tanks (>2 years old*) can receive from 0.5 to 1 ml for 100 l /25 US-Gal. aquarium water per day. For best results, add Tropic Marin NP-Bacto-Balance to a high water flow area in the tank at the beginning of the lighting cycle. Dosage may be adjusted every 2 weeks by .25 mL per 100 liters/25 US-Gal, after testing nitrate and phosphate Maximum Dose  A dosage of 1 ml per 100 l /25 US-Gal. tank content per day should not be exceeded under any circumstances. If a clouding of the tank is observed after the elevation of the dosage of NP-BACTO-BALANCE, the dosage should be reduced to the previous level. Beside the organic and inorganic nutrients, NP-Bacto-Balance also contains the same trace elements of Tropic Marin K+ Elements in the same concentration. Up to a dosage of 0.75 mL NP-Bacto-Balance per 25 gallons per day a further supplement with 1 ml/25g K+ Elements can have a positive effect on the coloration of the corals. We recommend additionally the Tropic Marin® A- Elements for a complete trace elements dosage to add missing trace elements such as iodine, bromine, fluorine, vanadium, molybdenum and selenium. Note - Dosages are approximate guides. In individual cases, the measurement depends on the stability of the tank.

  • Tropic Marin - Tropic Marin Elimi-NP 200 ml - Reefamorous

    Tropic Marin Elimi-NP 200 ml

    1 review

Liquid Carbon Dosing Concentrate for Nutrient Reduction in Reef Aquariums Efficient reduction of nitrate and phosphate Increased skimmer efficiency Bacterial biomass acts as nutrient source for filter feeders Suitable for marine fish, soft corals, LPS, SPS, and other inverts Easy-to-dose liquid solution For the general health and well-being of your reef inhabitants, it's beneficial to maintain nitrate and phosphate at very low concentrations. This encourages better coral calcification while also discouraging excess algae growth. Organisms such as bacteria will consume nitrate and phosphate in a balanced ratio along with organic carbon, but oftentimes the system can become carbon limited and prevent efficient export of the other two. Elimi-NP can help to restore this balance by supplying a controlled source of carbon to the aquarium. This allows nitrate and phosphate consuming bacteria to resume their normal activity and help to export wastes through removal of their biomass. Elimi-NP is ideally suited to saltwater aquariums where the ratio of nitrate to phosphate is 10:1 or lower, as this will work well with the carbon concentration Elimi-NP provides. For systems where the ratio of nitrate to phosphate is higher, we suggest the use of NP-Bacto-Balance instead, as this has additional additives to achieve a better balance between nitrate, phosphate, and carbon.  Dosage Recommendations Begin with a daily dose of 0.1 ml per 100 l (26 US-gal) of aquarium system volume. Adjust the dosage after 2 weeks after testing the nitrate and phosphate concentrations and observing reactions of animals.  Dosage can be increased by 0.1 ml per 100 l (26 US-gal) of aquarium system volume. Dose Elimi-NP into the flow of the pump to ensure proper distribution throughout the aquarium. Store the bottle tightly sealed! Maximum dose: A daily dose of 0.5 ml per 100 l (26 US-gal) of aquarium system volume should not be exceeded. The concentration of phosphate in the reef aquarium should only be lowered slowly to avoid possible adjustment stress in the organisms. At the same time, the nitrate-phosphate ratio should not exceed 10:1.

Tropic Marin PRO-REEF Sea Salt 4 KG

    2 reviews

    1 in stock In Stock

Tropic Marin PRO-REEF Sea Salt 25kg Features: The pharmaceutical grade sea salt especially for modern reef aquaria.   Tropic Marin® PRO-REEF Sea Salt has been designed to meet the special requirements of reef aquariums with optimized concentrations of calcium and magnesium, which promote the growth of corals. The lower buffering and the correct pH value serve to stabilize the natural water values, and particularly, the hardness of carbonates, even with the use of calcium reactors. Natural and stable conditions for delicate marine life are achieved only by accurately balancing all influencing factors.   Tropic Marin® PRO-REEF is thus the ideal foundation for the care and growth of fish, corals and other aquatic invertebrates in modern reef aquariums. Use seawater prepared with Tropic Marin® PRO-REEF for regular water changes in your seawater aquarium, to start a new aquarium and to re-equilibrate the pH of a tank.     Benefits: • Optimizes calcium- and magnesium concentrations as well as alkalinity and pH. • Designed to meet the special requirements of modern reef aquaria with higher calcium requirements. • Especially designed for use with calcium reactors or mineral additives. • To maintain the alkalinity in a 7-8° dKH range. • Manufactured from pure, pharmaceutical grade salts. • Contains all major- and minor elements in the exact proportions found in tropical sea water. • The 70 trace elements are completely soluble due to the use of the mixed-crystal method. • Compliance with the most stringent quality control measures for the production of pharmaceuticals ensures nature-identical seawater. • Free from nitrates, phosphates and other unwanted chemicals.     How to use: To achieve a salinity level of 32-35 ‰ (psu), dissolve 35 ml of Tropic Marin® PRO-REEF per liter or approximately ½ cup of Tropic Marin® PRO-REEF per US gallon water. Dissolve almost all of the salt in a clean container already filled with the full volume of RO/DI water at a temperature of 73-77°F / 23-25°C while circulating/stirring the water. Do not concentrate the mixture by adding the full amount of salt to a smaller amount of water.   Note: Always add the salt to the water, never the water to the salt.  Making a concentrated mixture will cause a calcium carbonate precipitate to form.   When you have added ALMOST all of the salt and the mixture is fully dissolved and clear, start measuring the specific gravity with a hydrometer or similar instrument. Keep adding small amounts of salt until the specific gravity is the value you desire. The specific gravity of the sea salt solution should range from 1.025 to 1.027 (at 73-77°F / 23-25°C) and the pH-value should be in the range of 8.0 – 8.4. If all parameters are correct, the salt water is ready to use.   After setting up a new aquarium it takes a few weeks of water being circulated and correct lighting conditions to achieve the biologically stable environment required for the care and breeding of delicate marine organisms.   A weekly, partial water change, replacing 10 % of the total water volume with Tropic Marin® PRO-REEF, will help to maintain the water quality that your livestock needs for good health.   Parameters: approx. 7° KH, calcium approx. 440 ppm, magnesium approx. 1350 ppm   Application: For reef tanks with higher calcium requirements. To maintain the alkalinity in a 7-8° dKH range; particularly suitable when using a calcium reactor.   Use the new dosing calculator for an easy determination of the required amount of salt for your aquarium.

Natural immune stimulant and vitamin B supplement Fish in Aquaria are exposed to elevated risk of infection by pathogens, bacteria and germs resulting in the increased likelihood of disease transmission. This often leads to diseases of weakened and stressed fish. If these are diagnosed too late, it may lead to fatalities for the fish and to the spreading of disease in the aquarium. According to latest scientific research, beta-glucan has proven especially effective in the stimulation of the immune system. Tropic Marin® IMMUVIT contains beta-glucan of brewer’s yeast in a concentrated form. The natural B-vitamins of Spirulina and brewer’s yeast are an important contribution to the vitamin supply of the fish; they prevent diseases that occur from nutritional deficiencies and stimulate appetite and vitality. The natural astaxanthin of Spirulina increases colouring and fertility of the fish.

  • Tropic Marin - Tropic Marin Zooton 60 gram - Reefamorous

    Tropic Marin Zooton 60 gram

    In Stock

Zooton is a plankton substitute with a small food particle size and is therefore perfect for stony corals with small polyps. The ingredients spirulina and brewer's yeast provide your corals with important B vitamins and carotenoids. Do corals need food? Not directly. Thanks to the many single-celled algae (= zooxanthellae) that are embedded in the coral tissue, corals can feed indirectly from light. The symbiotic algae release various sugars to the coral that they produce during photosynthesis. The algae, in turn, need nutrients to maintain their metabolism. They can get these from the excretions of the reef fish in your aquarium, for example. It is therefore not possible to survive without nutrients. Why feeding corals in the aquarium is important To ensure that your corals look beautifully colorful, stay healthy and, above all, grow, you should feed them. Regular feeding means that fewer symbiotic algae are deposited in the tissue. This makes the coral appear more colorful because the color pigments are more visible. It has also been proven that corals that are fed additionally are less susceptible to bleaching or other diseases. They also have more energy available for growth. Application and dosage of Zooton Add one measuring spoon (found in the can) to 200 - 500 liters of aquarium water twice a day. To do this, soak the amount in a cup of aquarium water shortly beforehand and then distribute it in the aquarium. Tropic Marin Zooton – what’s in it? Composition: Shrimp and shrimp by-products, algae, brewer’s yeast and spirulina Additives: Cellulose 10%, Betaine 25 g/kg, Thiamine 10 g/kg, Vitamin B12 100 mg/kg

Tropic Marin Syn-Biotic Sea Salt is a pharmaceutically pure sea salt with probiotic bacteria and prebiotic bacteria food. The new Tropic Marin Syn-Biotic Sea Salt contains probiotic bacteria for fish and shrimp and special prebiotic bacteria food to promote probiotic bacterial growth and to create low-nutrient conditions in the aquarium for LPS and SPS corals. The term synbiotic refers to supplements which combine probiotics and prebiotics in a form of synergism. Tropic Marin Syn-Biotic Sea Salt is ideal when you are setting up a new tank and every time you expand the tank’s stock. It has been proven that probiotic bacteria help to overcome stress and disease while enhancing the health and well-being of fish and crustaceans. For the best results, the aquarium should have a water change with Syn-Biotic Sea Salt prior to any new stock being introduced. The contained prebiotic additives promote the integration of nitrates and phosphates in bacterial mass for low-nutrient conditions and the vivid colours of LPS and SPS corals. For a sustained acclimatization of animals to the aquarium conditions and to stabilize the microbiology of the tank system we recommend using Syn-Biotic Sea Salt permanently. Each water change with Syn-Biotic Sea Salt automatically adds the probiotic bacteria necessary to maintain healthy biological processes. Tropic Marin Syn-Biotic Sea Salt it has been proven that probiotic bacteria improve the health and well-being of fish and crustaceans and assist them in overcoming stressful situations and illness prebiotic additives promote the integration of nitrates and phosphates in bacterial mass for low-nutrient conditions and the vivid colours of LPS and SPS corals contains additional nitrifying and de-nitrifying bacteria to support the nitrogen cycle to maintain the alkalinity in a 8-9 °dH range ideal for a new tank installation, a new stocking process and for every livestock increase suitable for permanent use - for a stable microbiology within the aquarium dissolves in water quickly and completely produced with pharmaceutically pure salts, without any nitrate or phosphate additives or other unnatural enrichments universally applicable - suitable for keeping and breeding fish, corals and other invertebrates, as well as seaweed Use of Tropic Marin Syn-Biotic Sea Salt:To achieve a salinity level of 32 - 35 ‰ (psu), dissolve 35 ml (approx. 37-40 g/1.3-1.4 oz.) of Tropic Marin Syn-Biotic for every litre or one half cup for every US-gallon of water in a container, stirring continuously. The specific gravity of the sea salt solution should be 1.025 to 1.027 at a temperature of 25 °C/77 °F. The prepared saltwater can be used as soon as the salt is fully dissolved. Note: Always add the sea salt to the water - not the other way round. It is normal for the salt water to turn slightly cloudy and this indicates that the synbiotic additives are taking effect. After setting up a new aquarium it takes a few weeks of circulating and lighting to establish stable biological conditions for the care of delicate marine organisms. Changing up to 10 % of the water every week using Tropic Marin Syn-Biotic helps to keep the water quality within the parameters most important to the delicate marine life in your aquarium.

Original Balling Set 3x1 Kg to increase calcium and carbonate concentrations. Since Hans-Werner Balling, product developer at Tropic Marin® for over 12 years, published his results in 1994 for improved calcium and carbonate supply in reef aquariums with stony corals, shell-forming mussels, red calcareous algae and other organisms with high calcium content and carbonate requirements, the Balling method firmly established as a procedure. With the BIO-CALCIUM line, which has been very successful for many years, Tropic Marin® was the first to offer an innovative implementation of the balling method in effective and safe products to increase calcium and carbonate concentrations. Now the range has been expanded with the BIO-CALCIUM ORIGINAL BALLING salts. The three components of the balling method are now available individually in 1 kg packs and as a starter pack in a set, giving aquarists the option of individually adapting calcium and carbonates to the aquarium and dosing independently of each other. The ion balance in the water can only be maintained by supplying all three components and thus creates the best conditions for good growth of corals and red lime algae. Consists of: 1 kg of calcium chloride dihydrate 1 kg of sodium bicarbonate 1 kg sodium chloride-free sea salt

Biodegradable Filter Media for the Effective Removal of Nitrates and Phosphates Made of Natural Biopolymers Suitable for Fluidized Bed Filter or Pellet Reactors Helps Corals Show Their Brightest and Most Vibrant Colors Ideal for Reef Tanks or Fish Only Systems Tropic Marin NP-Bacto Pellets is an easy-to-use organic filter media for pellet reactors for the effective and biological removal of nitrate and phosphate. The pellets are made from a mixture of natural biopolymers, which promote the colonization and growth of nitrate and phosphate removing bacteria as well as other microorganisms. The bacterial colonization starts very quickly and then occurs on an on-going basis. Nitrogen and phosphorus are required for the growth of useful microorganisms. They reduce the nitrate und phosphate levels in the aquarium by extracting these elements from the aquarium water. Valuable, nutrient rich, biomass is produced from this process and is flushed from the pellet reactor into the aquarium where it serves as an important basic food resource for corals and other filter feeders, or is skimmed out of the water. Instructions The NP-Bacto Pellets are for use in a pellet reactor or fluidized reactor. Pour boiling hot water over the pellets and let soak for 2 hours before use to expel excess air. Start with 50 ml NP-Bacto Pellets for every 100 liters (26 gallons) of aquarium system water and fill the filter media in the reactor chamber. Consider the operating instructions of the reactor. Double the amount after four weeks if necessary but DO NOT EXCEED 200 ml of NP-Bacto Pellets per 100 liters of aquarium system water. For the removal of nutrients and gas exchange, a protein skimmer is recommended. As a result of the degeneration of the organic filter medium by the microorganisms, it is recommended to top up the NP-Bacto Pellets every month to replace any degraded material.
